Mixed-use project planned for Carmel A new development that will accommodate hotels, medical centers, office buildings and retail is planned for Carmel, north of Indianapolis. Browning Investments says it expects to break ground this summer on the 20-acre project.
The Indianapolis-based company says the development will serve as a primary access point to downtown Carmel. Ball State foundation appoints first CIO The Ball State University Foundation has named its first chief investment officer. Thomas Heck has been appointed to the position, which will help the foundation focus on investment gains. He has been a staff member with the foundation, which manages residual assets of more than & 036;228 million.
Dixie Chopper locates center in Montgomery Indiana-based lawnmower producer Dixie Chopper has opened its a distribution center in Montgomery County. All of its mowers will roll out of the 150,000-square-foot warehouse in Waveland. Dixie shares space with Recycled Goods and Trucking Co. Bell Industries posts 4Q revenues Indianapolis-based Bell Industries is reporting a decline in fourth quarter revenues.
The company says revenues were & 036;21.4 million compared to & 036;27.5 million for the same period the previous year. Bell also has announced an agreement in principle to settle litigation with Williams Electronics Games, Inc. The deal is contingent on the completed sale of its SkyTel unit to Velocita Wireless LLC.
