Sydney woman's death still a mystery - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Twenty-five-year-old Katrina Ploy was found dead in Sydney Harbour, near Lady Bay Beach, on Christmas Day 2006. A search of the area led police to her abandoned car, a dark blue 1988-model Hyundai Excel sedan.

Police believe Ms Ploy died five days earlier but cannot account for her movements in the 24 hours before her death. She was last seen by her parents about 5:00pm (AEDT) on December 17. Police found her handbag and jacket near The Gap at Watsons Bay early the next day.

Strike force Beveridge was set up to investigate Ms Ploy's death, and detectives are particularly keen to speak with a couple seen walking from the area where the items were found. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
